In his over 35 years of practice, Dr. Venuto has implemented revolutionary changes to how he approaches sports medicine. He was one of the first surgeons nationwide to perform arthroscopic surgery, which minimizes surgical trauma and speeds recovery. He was also the first surgeon in California to perform the Carticel® cartilage transplant surgery using a patient’s own healthy cartilage to repair defects in the knee. And he was the first surgeon in California to perform a partial knee replacement on an outpatient basis.
